2019-2020

REALITY explores the complex nature of perception, urging viewers to engage actively in the process of seeing. To truly perceive reality, one must synthesize various elements, creating a harmonious unity between the observer and the observed. This artwork transcends the physical realm, exploring the metaphysical by combining space, motion, distance, and time—prompting us to appreciate how two similar objects, viewed with each eye, can merge into one coherent image.
​Inspired by the principles of Binocular Vision, the piece demonstrates that what we see with our eyes is not always the message received by our brain and heart. By incorporating optometric theories such as Near Point of Convergence (NPC), Superposition, Fusion, and Stereopsis, REALITY invites the viewer to interact with the painting, uncovering a single, unified image.
This artwork reflects on how life, when seen passively or without purpose, may lack clarity or meaning. Only by actively engaging and making the first move can we perceive the essence of what is truly there: Reality

Destiny
It brings us a different concept to appreciate art and life by questioning what we see as reality, sometimes we don't want to see what is in front of us, our future, what is meant to be will always find its way.
Energy
The sun is the source of everything living on earth. This painting depicts the finish line in a running race, while mixing momentum, the dusk until dawn, from sunrise to sunset. Here we see the biggest source of power feeding the electricity invented by humans. Energy is everything that moves us, it is the power causing changes, what nurtures our soul, hearts and what affects others. Thus, Energy is what affects our Reality. Energy is everything that is holding us together, and sometimes is overloaded, if it falls in the wrong hands it will explode like an old volcano that has been in silence for centuries. Lets us lose ourselves while looking at the sunshine. Try to blend these images until you get one road
Freedom
It is the one that sets you free and drives you to happiness. Ask yourself, are you outer or inside a cage? What sets you free and gives you peace of mind is what truly makes you happy by leaving behind the fear and the past.
This bird was painted outside the cage because is how everyone should be. Only with one action, blending the images, it will be trapped. It's up to us to cage what looks better free.
Depth
We might see things from the top, questioning ourselves how does our life look like, 3D or just plain?
It is only in taking risks that one can truly appreciate the real meaning of living.

Inner- Light
To see reality, we have to make an effort putting together many factors, we have to get ourselves out there and grab our fair share of life. We battle against our inner struggles or outer world forces, and in many cases, we emerge on the opposite side of struggle stronger and better equipped to cope with the challenges yet to come.
Sometimes there is a conflict between who we are and whom we are expected to be, what we have been told to be. Many people see themselves in a certain role, we create different identities such as father, mother, wife, husband, son, daughter, manager or artist, but when these identities are taken away everyone gets lost. This happens because this is not what we truly are in our Reality. When we align the light within us with the external world, then we can articulate our goals, vision and beliefs to create our Reality.
